It's all up to Congress

Congress set up a special bill to save the life of Terry Schiavo, who has been in a persistant vegetative state for 15 years. It's only a matter of time before Congress starts deciding everything for us! I can see the future headlines:

"Bush signs bill forbidding middle-aged man from growing hair past his shoulders".
"Bush sings bill preventing 13-year-old from piercing her ears".
"Congress prevents kiss on first date for young woman under 18".

Why is the US Government involved in something that is none of their business?

If At Some Point In My Life I End Up In The Hospital, Please Make Sure That The Doctors Do Not Put Me On Life Support. I Do Not Want To Be Kept Alive By Extraordinary Means. God Has A Plan For All Of Us, And When It Is Time For Us To Go, That Is God's Decision, *Not* That Of A Machine Or A Doctor Or God-Forbid Some Dumb Politician Who Doesn't Even Know Me.

I Pray For Terri Schiavo, That She Finally Gets To Go Home… And I Pray That Someday Her Crazy Selfish Parents Will One Day Wake Up And Realize How Incredibly Selfish and Un-Godly They Have Been And That They Get To Suffer From That Realization As Much As They Have Forced Their Daughter To Suffer For The Past 15 Years. AMEN

I agree FTVStar. There is nothing more cruel. We put dogs down so we don't have to see them suffer but we can't do the same for people!
