Whales or Seals? What to do...

I have been reading about people climbing out onto ice flows in a desperate attempt to rescue seals. I have also read about people trying desperately to save the Whales. Now the problem arises. Whales eat seals. If they don't, they'll starve. Therefore, if we save the seals then the whales will all die off. However, if we save the whales, then all the seals will die. Such a quandry! Which one do I want to save? Seals are cute, that's for sure. Whales are majestic, no doubt about it. What to do? What to DO???

Put the whales in zoos. Feed them tofu.

Good idea Edgar! Now, how do we round those buggers up?

You put them in an elephant carying cage, like the ones made for dogs and cats.

Save the seals, so the whales can eat them...

Whales don't really eat seals do they?? I thought they only ate plankton...

maybe an occasional spongebob...

Orchas or Killer Whales eat seals Hammy.

circle of life...

maybe on even days you save a whale and on odd days you save a seal?

Maybe we should cross killer sharks with seals...then those killer whales would have a fight on their hands!

Then again, that idea didn't work so well with those Africanized bees did it???

I vote for Kimmy's idea.

Actually, the way we are going we'll probably kill off ALL the life in the sea's, lakes and oceans...so it won't ultimately matter....now that is sad.

Who needs a few seals and whales anyway? Seals eat all the fish that we could be eating for outselves! Get rid of the seals and whales, more food for us! That's what's REALLY important, isn't it?

I'd rather eat grass then to eat a fish or a seal let alone a whale.

but that's just me in my "i refuse to eat anything other than a mad cow or bird with the flu" eating habits.

I say save the Whales.

Only because I have a fabulous, black seal scarf ... and I would like another.

1. First of all, whales do NOT eat seals. Whales eat mostly plankton. KILLER WHALES are NOT whales, they are of the genus ORCA. Killer "whales" are a type of dolphin. Despite the name, Orcas are not whales! And just so you know, Lemon sharks aren't made out of actual lemons. Penguins dont live at the NORTH pole. The WhaleShark is neither a whale nor a Shark. A LION FISH is not a real Lion. A Sea Horse is not a kind of horse. A Koala Bear is NOT a bear. A Peanut is not a kind of nut. A Guinea Pig is not a type of Pig. Stay in "scool".

2. Seals INCREASE the amount of foodfish. Not decrease it! Seals eat the larger predators that kill the fish that humans go after. Without seals, those predators deplete the fish that humans try to capture. Also, a seal will catch the fish that are old, not as healthy, wounded, or otherwise messed up, and leave the stronger faster healthier fish who get away. So without seals, you end up with a net full of depleted unhealthy potentially sickly fish which you then end up eating. Contaminated with Lead & Mercury poisoning, which then stunts brain development.

So stop eating fish and learn what is a whale and what's not, and work on that 'edumacation'.

I see, so instead of humans becoming brain damaged, the seals become brain damaged. Proves that darwin had it wrong. The strongest don't survive, because the strongest just eat the weak toxic animals -which makes the strong become weak.
